Staff and reporters at the White House were briefly evacuated Friday evening after an intruder jumped the fence surrounding the building and was seen running on the complex grounds.

U.S. President Barack Obama and his daughters had just left the building, according to Reuters. They were headed to Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland, aboard the Marine One helicopter when members of the Secret Service ordered media and staff to evacuate the building’s West Wing.

Reporters on the scene at the time of the evacuation tweeted pictures and other updates:

The evacuation order was lifted a short while later.

Last week a man was taken into custody after jumping over the building’s North Fence during the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. Officers drew their guns and used a service dog to apprehend the jumper.
