MONTREAL – CGI Group Inc. has been awarded a five-year contract valued at $24.9 million from the Quebec’s justice department.
The information technology company said Tuesday that under the agreement it will manage the development, operation and evolution of systems and technology infrastructure of the department’s records and certification.

The firm will also ensure technical support for technology infrastructure management.

Founded in 1976, Montreal-based CGI Group (TSX:GIB.A) is one of the largest independent information technology and business process services firms in the world.
Shares in the company rose 52 cents to $18.83 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
