WEST KELOWNA – The District of West Kelowna has postponed some recreational programs that were about to start at five public schools because of the teachers’ strike.

About three dozen programs are affected, including art and language instruction and various indoor sports.
However, programs are continuing as scheduled at community facilities such as arenas and community centres.
The Recreation and Culture Department expects to begin school-based programs when classes resume.
