GO Train service resumes on Barrie and Kitchener Lines

TORONTO – Service has resumed on the Barrie and Kitchener GO train lines following an “operational error” but significant delays are still expected this morning.

GO Transit says service was suspended because a Kitchener train is holding east of Bloor blocking the Barrie line.

The following BARRIE trains are affected:

The Allandale Waterfront 06:22 – Union 08:03 train trip is holding south of York University due to an operational error affecting another train.
The Maple 07:45 – Union 08:19 train trip is holding south of York University due to an operational error affecting an earlier train.
The Allandale Waterfront 06:52 – Union 08:33 train trip is holding south of York University due to an operational error affecting an earlier train.

The following KITCHENER trains are affected:

The Georgetown 07:06 – Union 08:01 train trip is holding east of Bloor due to an operational error.
The Georgetown 07:13 – Union 08:17 train trip is holding at Weston due to an operational error affecting an earlier train.
The Georgetown 07:41 – Union 08:48 train trip is holding at Etobicoke North due to an operational error affecting an earlier train.
The Kitchener 07:07 – Union 09:08 train trip is holding at Malton due to an operational error affecting an earlier train
The Bramalea 09:40 – Union 10:20 train trip is cancelled due to an earlier operational issue. Passengers will be accommodated by GO Bus from Bramalea, Malton, Etobicoke North then express to Union. Weston and Bloor passengers are encouraged to use their GO fare at TTC staffed entrances.
