REGINA – People in a southeastern Saskatchewan village are wondering when their community will finally get a chance to dry out.
Residents of Gainsborough had to deal with a downpour in late June that created a host of flooding problems.
Another 50 millimetres hit the village over the weekend and Mayor Vic Huish says that while it didn’t cause any major problems, it still put stress on the sewer system.
The village of 300 is still without drinking water after the June storm and some residents are living in campers because they can’t move back into their flood-damaged homes.
