Radio legend Red Robinson was the show MC.

He recalls how the band nearly caused a riot.

The Beatles manager sent Robinson on stage to calm the crowd down.

Even though it’s been 50 years since the Beatles played in Vancouver, their influence over music and pop culture can still be seen and heard.

The members of Beatles tribute band, Revolver, also credit the Fab Four for inspiring them. They performed on the PNE grounds Friday night.
