Former Winnipegger Kate Gajdosik Begins Her On-air Duties September 12

 WINNIPEG, Sept. 7, 2011Global Winnipeg announced today that Kate Gajdosik will be returning to her hometown of Winnipeg to be the new Weather Specialist for the weekday news team. Gajdosik will use her extensive meteorological skills, and her understanding of the area’s climate patterns to provide Global viewers with the most precise and up-to-date weather information in the region. Viewers can look for Gajdosik weeknights on Global Winnipeg’s Evening Newswith Peter Chura at 6:00 pm, and at 10:00 pm for Prime Newsand 11:00 pm for News Finalbeginning September 12.

In addition to providing the most accurate weather forecast and analysis, Gajdosik will also represent Global Winnipeg at community events across Manitoba, and show community leaders in action through the station’s ongoing Heart of the Community series.

Originally from Winnipeg, Kate spent the last 16 years living in Vancouver working in film and television. She has been a reporter for several Vancouver television and radio stations including Global BC, AM 730, CKNW; and Talk 1410AM where she co-hosted the afternoon drive show.
