Pension reform protest in Chateauguay

CHATEAUGUAY – A few hundred police officers gathered outside the offices of Municipal Affairs Minister Pierre Moreau early Tuesday morning.

A portion of route 132 in Chateauguay was blocked during the protest.

The officers, who came from the north and south shores as well as Montreal, plastered the windows of the building on Jean-Baptiste street with their iconic “Libre Nego” stickers.

They also stuck pages of previous signed collective agreements as a symbolic gesture.

The protest was calm and no one was arrested.
