CALGARY – Two women were rushed to hospital on Monday after being struck by an SUV in the city’s northwest.
The pair were hit while crossing the street at Kensington Road and 11 A Street N.W. around 7:30 p.m. They were in a marked crosswalk at the time.

Both women, one elderly and one in her thirties, were treated on scene and rushed to hospital.
One of the victims sustained a fractured pelvis, while the other suffered non-life threatening head injuries.
Given the time of day and position of the sun, police believe the female driver may not have seen the two women as they crossed the street.
Police say neither speed nor alcohol are thought to be factors in the crash.
