WEST VANCOUVER – Two more high-end cars have been impounded by police, this time in West Vancouver.
Around 10 o’clock this morning, an officer noticed a newer model Porcshe and BMW travelling at 143 kilometers per hour in a 60 kilometer zone in the 3700 block of Cypress Bowl Road.
Trying to escape, the driver of the BMW sped past the officer. The driver of the Porsche pulled a U-turn and fled away.

But it did not take long for police officers to catch up to them.
The posh BMW was found in a ditch. It sustained approximately $15,000 in damages. The Porsche was located at a nearby school.
Police say both drivers are 17 years old and are novices.
They are prohibited from driving for 15 days.
On Wednesday, 13 cars worth about $2 million were impounded for speed racing during a busy rush hour on Highway 99.
Police impounded Ferraris, Maserati’s, Lamborghinis, Audis, Mercedes and Aston Martins from a number of men who were 20 and under and, like in today’s case, some had ‘New Driver’ decals on the back of the vehicles.
