The home of the Winnipeg Jets took on a new look today with players set to hit the ice in just a matter of weeks.
Crews at the MTS Centre spent hours Friday installing a massive Jets logo at the centre ice.

The logo took minutes to lay down and was later covered with a fine mist of water to seal it in.
The ice, lines and Jets logo will remain in place for the entire season.
Workers took a different approach this year, using two pieces of textile fabric decals to make the logo instead of painting in as they’ve previously done.
“When we used to do the Moose, we painted it, you’re looking at six to eight hours and four to five guys painting. This way, we lay it down and it’s pretty much done,” said Derek King of the MTS Centre.
