CALGARY – An investigation is underway after an early morning shooting in the city’s southeast on Tuesday.
Police were called to 16th Avenue and 36th Street S.E. around 3 a.m. over reports of shots fired.
A large area was cordoned off as officers scoured the scene, looking for clues.
Investigators aren’t sure whether the shooter was on foot, or if the shots were fired from inside a vehicle.

At least five shots were fired, according to one area resident who says the RV he was staying in was hit.
“We woke up at three o’clock to some gunshots,” he explains. “I came running out of my motorhome to find two shots in my motorhome.”
Police can’t confirm reports of a man with a weapon spotted in the area prior to the shooting.
