CALGARY- If you’ve ever been stuck waiting for a late bus, you’ll soon have an easy way to find out when it will actually arrive.
Starting next week, some buses will feature on-board audio and visual announcements informing riders what stop they’re at and what the next stop will be.
It’s all part of testing for Calgary Transit’s new GPS based, real-time bus information system. Within a few months, it will be tested on the entire fleet.
The system will eventually help alert riders when a bus is running behind schedule.
Calgary Transit is asking for riders to provide them with feedback during testing.
