Transportation Minister Tom Hedderson says the hurricane struck at the end of last year’s construction season, leaving only time for temporary repairs.
One tender calls for construction of a two-lane, single-span bridge at Plate Cove West on Route 235.
A second tender would cover the construction of a steel, single-lane panel bridge on Church Road in the community of Brownsdale.
The government did not specify the cost of both replacements.
