CALGARY – The search continues in south Kananaskis for a missing hiker from Australia.
59-year-old Kevin Kennedy went hiking in the Highwood Pass area of Peter Lougheed Provincial Park on Sunday.
Kennedy planned to hike over Grizzly Col and complete the Tyrwitt loop.

Ground and aerial searches have not been successful so far. Up to 30 people including RCMP, Public Safety staff, Conservation Officers, Trail crew and volunteers have taken part in the search so far.
RCMP are asking to speak with any hikers who may have encountered Kennedy on Sunday.
Kennedy is described as 6’ tall, 170 lbs with grey thinning hair. He was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, khaki shorts, brown/orange fleece, a dark coloured hat and blue backpack. He wears glasses and speaks with an Australian accent.
