TORONTO – Melky Cabrera crushed a shot over The Green Monster at Boston’s Fenway Park Monday night, shattering a car windshield in the process.
Cabrera homered from both sides of the plate and drove in five runs as the Toronto Blue Jays pounded the Red Sox 14-1.
It was the Melkman’s second blast that did the most damage, as the ball sailed over the 37-foot left field wall and landed on a vehicle in the parking lot behind the fence.
The three-run shot ran the score up to 9-0 in the sixth inning. His 14th homer of the year was estimated at 410 feet.
