NEAR KELOWNA, B.C. – A logging truck lost its load on Highway 33, 30 km north of Beaverdell Monday morning after failing to make a sharp turn.
The entire truck and trailer rolled on its side, but the driver walked away uninjured.
The truck clipped a concrete barrier before entering the oncoming lane, losing its entire load of logs over the embankment of the highway.
Highway 33 was closed following the crash, but re-opened around 11 a.m.
The Lumby man behind the wheel says it was fortunate there were no other vehicles involved, believing the incident could have been a lot worse had there been oncoming traffic.
RCMP ticketed the man for driving without due care and attention.
