Driver crashes into 3 people in Ville Saint-Laurent

MONTREAL – A 29-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly crashing into three people and three parked cars with her vehicle early Sunday morning.

At 3:20 a.m., police were called to break up a fight between about 100 people on Côte-Vertu boulevard, near Highway 40 in Montreal’s Ville Saint-Laurent borough.

Police were on the scene to break up the brawl when they witnessed the car crash.

“Officers saw a car going very fast in the parking lot,” said Simon Delorme, with the Montreal police.

The car hit three pedestrians, all women in their 20s, as well as several parked cars.

One of the women hit by the car is in hospital with serious injuries.

“She was projected in the air,” said Delorme.

The suspect is now in police custody.

Charges have not yet been laid.
