Cyclist hospitalized after crash in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Saskatoon police are investigating a collision after a cyclist was hospitalized on Sunday.

Around 11:35 a.m., emergency services were called to crash at Lorne Avenue and Ruth Street.

Police say a 40-year-old man was riding his bike eastbound on Ruth St. when a southbound car entered the intersection and struck the cyclist.

M.D. Ambulance transported the cyclist to Royal University Hospital in stable condition.

He has injuries to his upper body and head.

Charges are pending against the female driver of the car.
