City officials are considering a stadium, in part, for a chance to put on games linked to an international soccer tournament Canada will host in 2015.

A consultant’s report says Halifax could build a 10,000-seat stadium for sports and other events.

The proposed venue could also accommodate temporary seating that would double the capacity.

Kelly says the next phase of the study will provide a thorough and objective review of the business case for such a facility.
