Arrest made in Montreal Lake, Sask. attempted murder

One of two people wanted for the attempted murder of a Saskatchewan woman has been arrested.

Shantel Lauren Mike, 26, was arrested in Prince Albert, Sask. on Wednesday.

She was also wanted for kidnapping, aggravated assault, robbery and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle after Marina Henderson, 66, went missing after an assault at a medical clinic in Montreal Lake Monday morning.

Henderson was found late Tuesday afternoon and taken to Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert for treatment. There is no word on the extent of her injuries.

Mike appeared in Prince Albert provincial court Thursday morning.

Mounties are still looking for a second suspect.

Kevin Brian Henderson, 30, is wanted for attempted murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, robbery, two counts of stealing a motor vehicle and three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.

Mounties say Henderson may be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with information of the whereabouts of Henderson is asked to call their local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
