VANCOUVER – A 28-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a tree in Surrey.
RCMP officers were called to the area around 138 Street and 107A Avenue after reports of a person acting erratically.

When the officers arrived they found the man up a tree, several metres off the ground. He refused to come down.
Mounties spent several hours talking with the man who was later rushed to hospital by ambulance after falling from the tree.
It is unclear what led the man to scale the tree in the first place. He is known to police for minor offences related to drug and alcohol.
