WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Jets have signed defenceman Adam Pardy to a one-year contract extension worth $700,000.

Pardy was set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

The 30-year-old was acquired by the Jets during last summer’s free agency. He had six assists and 38 penalty minutes in 60 games in 2013-14.

The Jets have 18 players heading to the free agent market Tuesday, including Olli Jokinen, Devin Setoguchi and Al Montoya.
