VANCOUVER – Police have busted a suspected brothel near a pair of schools in a residential area of Abbotsford.
The house was searched at the end of May after police got a number of tips from neighbours.
Investigators haven’t revealed what they found at the home, but a 54-year-old Vancouver woman is facing charges of keeping a bawdy house.

Anyone with information is asked to call Abbotsford Police or Crime Stoppers.
“As people well know, when you’re talking about bawdy houses and the sex trade, there’s always the potential for youth to be involved in some way,” said Cpl. Ian MacDonald with the Abbotsford Police.
“And obviously human trafficking has to be one of the components that we’re searching to identify as to whether that’s a contributing factor.”
“I suppose the good news in our investigation is that we did not find evidence of human trafficking or youth being involved,” added MacDonald.
