Naked protesters will bear all in a pro-vegan demonstration during lunch on Tuesday in order to convey animal rights and alternative diets.

 

This nonviolent demonstration in front of Prairie Pride Natural Foods on Millar Avenue aims to mimic typical meat packages by displaying members wearing nothing but clear plastic and lying on large trays in front of a Saskatoon slaughterhouse.

Activists aim to demonstrate that all animals, like people, feel pain and meat is a living creature’s corpse.

 

Protestors will wear oversized price stickers that read “billions of animals are abused and violently killed because you eat meat. Get help! Visit GoVeg.com.”

According to Dieticians of Canada, a vegan diet reduces the risk of obesity, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain types of cancer.

 

Along with not consuming meat products, veganism also eliminates the use of any animal products including fur, leather, honey, silk, gelatine, and whey.
