B.C. Lottery Corp. posts record profits … but results still a disappointment

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation netted record profits in its last fiscal year, but the results were still disappointing, the organization said in its annual report. Profits for the year ending March 31, 2009 reached $1.09 billion, up only slightly from the $1.089 a year earlier. During the same period, revenues dropped $9 million to $2.55 billion, as “prolonged economic uncertainty continues to impact BCLC’s business,” the report said.
