Visually impaired man attacked near Victoria Park

REGINA – Police are investigating an attempted robbery of a man with a visual impairment near Victoria Park on Saturday morning.

The 26-year-old victim, who reported the incident to police not long after 5 a.m., was taken to the ground as two suspects attempted to take his jacket.

The victim resisted the attack, and the suspects eventually left without the jacket.

Both suspects are described as being in their 20s having a thin build. One was last seen wearing blue jeans; the other wore sweat pants.

Police say the victim did not get a better description due to his impairment.

The man’s injury is described as minor.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
