TORONTO – Microsoft’s latest Xbox One ad, featuring Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, is giving users a good laugh.
In the ad, Paul, who played fan-favourite Jesse Pinkman in the series, shouts “Xbox On” – the vocal command used to fire up Microsoft’s Kinect voice and motion sensor, which turns on the console.
But the ad is reportedly turning on other users’ consoles.
Xbox users and Breaking Bad fans took to Twitter to tell Paul that he was controlling their consoles.
One user tweeted, “Hey Aaron Paul, please stop messing with my Xbox.” Another added, “@aaronpaul_8 just turned my Xbox One via the Xbox advert. Amazing.”
Reddit users also reported that the ad had turned on their Xbox.
Paul has not yet responded to any tweets regarding the issue.
