400 aerospace workers on strike in Abbotsford

Over 400 workers at an aerospace company in Abbotsford are on strike.

Workers at Cascade Aerospace went on strike on Wednesday and are resuming job action today. They are members of Unifor Local 114.

The company is the second-largest employer in Abbotsford and is currently working on two Lockheed Martin C130 cargo planes for the Mexican government. The company is also the primary contractor for the Department of National Defence fleet of Hercules aircraft.

On the Union’s Facebook page, striking workers have been posting photos of “scabs” being bused into the facility.
