“James was instrumental in building Dynamex into a highly respected brand in the North American package and courier industry,” TransForce chairman, president and CEO Alain Bedard said in a statement.

Welch’s departure comes after TransForce, Canada’s largest trucking company, acquired the operations of Dallas-based Dynamex for US$248 million in December.

Dynamex provides same-day deliveries in the U.S. and Canada.
