CALGARY- Emergency crews rushed to a river near Fairmont, B.C. on Wednesday afternoon, after a baby girl nearly drowned.
The incident unfolded around 1 p.m. MT in the Dutch Creek River, when a group of rafters got separated. As a result, the one-year-old ended up in the water and began floating away.

B.C. Ambulance Services and STARS air ambulance staged a rescue and managed to bring the child to safety.
She was rushed to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary in life-threatening condition.
