TORONTO — It may be soooo 2012 but “Gangnam Style” has reached a stunning new milestone: 2 billion views on YouTube.
The video for the hit single from South Korean rapper PSY hit 2 billion views on Saturday.
“Gangnam Style” was released in July 2012 and, by the end of the year, had been viewed 1 billion times — making it the most-watched video ever. (The title was previously held by Justin Bieber’s “Baby.”)

“They are very honourable and very burdensome numbers,” PSY said in a statement to Billboard. “With appreciation, I will come back soon with more joyful contents!!”
