WATCH: Motorcycle rider seriously hurt in fiery Nanaimo crash


VANCOUVER – An investigation is underway today after a crash in Nanaimo left one man seriously hurt.

It happened at about 7 p.m. Saturday evening on Bowen Road near Beverly Drive.

A motorcycle and a SUV collided and both vehicles were engulfed in flames. The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old man, was taken to Nanaimo Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, a 28-year-old woman, and her passenger, were also taken to hospital but they were not badly hurt and were released shortly after.
