WATCH: Kid loses spelling bee but wins Internet

TORONTO – The Scripps National Spelling Bee wrapped up Thursday night but not before making an Internet star out of a kid who hilariously misspelled a word in the 10th round.

A confident Jacob Williamson, 15, was asked to spell the word “kabaragoya.”

“I know it, I know it, I totally know it!” the cocky Florida teen said.

Nope, he didn’t know it.

“What?!” Williamson yelled after he was alerted that he spelled the word incorrectly.

Williamson spelled the noun with a “c” and was eliminated from the contest.

However, the Cape Coral native walked off stage with his head held high and high-fived the remaining contestants.

Ultimately, Williamson’s reaction and premature celebration has made him an Internet star.
