SpaceX to unveil new manned spacecraft Thursday

TORONTO – SpaceX, the first privately funded commercial rocket developer, is unveiling its new manned spacecraft from California on Thursday evening.

With the Russians saying that they’re ready to cut their cooperation with Americans on the International Space Station (mainly in terms of transporting them to and from the orbiting platform), the timing is just right for SpaceX to unveil their first manned spacecraft.

At 7 p.m. PDT (10 p.m. EDT), SpaceX, will unveil their new Dragon V2 — the spacecraft designed to carry men and women into space.

The company currently launches commercial rockets to the International Space Station, providing supplies for astronauts.

On April 29, when the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin suggested that Americans use a trampoline to get to space, Elon Musk tweeted:
