SASKATOON – International Road Dynamics Inc. (TSX:IRD) has been awarded two contracts by New York state to install, upgrade, repair and maintain department data collection sites.
The traffic monitoring system contracts with the Department of Transportation are worth $2.3 million, and include three optional one-year extensions which, if exercised, would make the contracts worth $5.9 million, the company said Tuesday.

The state Transportation Department collects and interprets information about traffic on the state’s highways, which is then used to assess transportation needs and develop highway planning.

International Road Dynamics said it has made similar agreements with the department over the last 10 years.
Saskatoon-based IRD is a highway traffic management technology company that makes automated truck weigh stations, electronic toll highway equipment, licence plate readers and other traffic management systems.
