GEORGINA, ONT. – York Region Police say a skydiver is dead after an accident near Baldwin Airport in the Town of Georgina, north of Toronto.

The Parachute School of Toronto is run out of Baldwin Airport. Last year, an advanced skydiving student died following a hard landing at the airport.
Saturday night, a spokesman for the school said they had no comment about the accident.

Global News camera operator Jeremy Cohn tweeted that the victim is a woman in her 20s who is said to be an experienced skydiver.
The skydiver’s identity has not been released.
