Montreal rolls out its first WiFi-equipped city bus

MONTREAL – Montreal is encouraging commuters to get surfing on city buses this summer.

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is rolling out the city’s first ever WiFi-equipped bus as part of a collaborative initiative with Distributel.

Over the next three months, free unlimited wireless Internet access will be provided on a special bus as of May 8.

The WiFi bus will operate on three different bus lines over the three-month period:

May: 24 (Sherbrooke)
June: 150 (René-Lévesque)
July: 10 (De Lorimier)

Easily identifiable with its Hawaiian surf look, the bus will be on the streets until July 27.
