A Revelstoke man has died in hospital after a violent altercation between two motorists in an apparent road rage incident.
RCMP say they don’t know why Dean Pratico, 55, confronted another driver Friday morning.
But there are unconfirmed reports Pratico was upset the man was speeding in a school zone on 9th Street between Mt. Begbie Elementary and Revelstoke Secondary schools.

Police say Pratico was knocked unconscious but won’t confirm rumours he was punched or pushed by the other driver.
He is a 33 year old Revelstoke resident who has been interviewed by investigators but has not been arrested.
Pratico died over the weekend at the Kamloops hospital where he had been taken by air ambulance.
The two men did not know each other.
RCMP are asking any witnesses to the incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
