WATCH ABOVE: Father being investigated after kicking son off a ramp at Florida skate park
TORONTO – The footage appears to show an ordinary father-and-son bonding moment, the pair standing at the top of a skateboard half-pipe together, the little one decked out in pads and a helmet.
Ordinary, that is, until the father kicks the child over the edge and the child lands hard, groaning in pain.
The video was taken at a park in Arlington, Fla., First Coast News reports, and shows Marcus Crossland kicking his six-year-old son before turning around and walking away.
It was uploaded to Instagram on Friday.
The Florida Department of Children and Families and local law enforcement are reportedly now investigating after angry reaction on social media.
“He [Crossland] said he was just caught up in the moment. He seemed very remorseful. He certainly understands the gravity of the situation and it seems like he is going to be answering to this thing for quite some time to come,” Martin Ramos, the park operator, told First Coast News.
