CAMBELLFORD, Ont. – Blommer Chocolate Co. is expanding capacity by using empty space at its plant in Campbellford, northwest of Trenton, Ont.
The company says it will triple capacity to about 34 million kilograms annually, to meet demand from several large, long-term supply agreements.

Blommer bought the plant in 2006 to make specialty coatings and other products.
The expansion is expected to be completed this fall.

Plant general manager Doug Harper says the number of employees will increase to 75 or 80 workers, from the current 65.
The expansion will make use of 1,950 square metres of unused space in the 7,900-square-metre plant. (CJTN)
