VAL-D’OR, Que. – Jesse Lussier scored 8:24 into overtime as the Halifax Mooseheads erased a four-goal deficit to beat the host Val-d’Or Foreurs 6-5 on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff action.

Matt Murphy had a pair of goals for the Mooseheads, who trail the third-round series 2-1. Jonathan Drouin scored once and set up two more while Andrew Schewfelt and MacKenzie Weegar added a goal apiece.

Anthony Mantha recorded a hat trick for the Foreurs, who led the game 5-1 midway through the second period before collapsing, and Guillaume Gelinas tacked on four assists. Phil Pietroniro and Louick Marcotte also scored for Val-d’Or.

Zachary Fucale started in net for Halifax but was pulled just 3:28 into the game after giving up three goals on four shots. Kevin Darveau made 26 saves in 64 minutes of relief to earn the win. Antoine Bibeau turned aside 34-of-40 shots for the Foreurs.
