EDMONTON – A man in his 30s is in hospital after being shot during a home invasion in north Edmonton Monday night.

Police say the man was driven to hospital by his girlfriend around 11:00 p.m.

He was taken into surgery after being shot in the abdomen and remains in serious condition.

The incident happened near 172 Ave. and 120 St.

Officers were already in the area on another matter when they were called to the incident.

Police say the attack was not random and the victim is known to them.
