VANCOUVER – West Vancouver Police have sent the case of a longboarder versus a police officer to B.C.’s Police Watchdog.
The incident happened last Wednesday afternoon and was recorded by a longboarder and put on YouTube.
The longboarders were travelling down a West Van road when a police cruiser appeared in front of them, lights flashing.

At least one of the boarders slid off to the side of the road. What followed was an angry exchange between the officer and one of the boarders.
West Vancouver Police have asked the Officer of the Police Complaints Commissioner to look into the officer’s actions.
