CALGARY- A serious crash left a young woman in hospital with life-threatening injuries on Wednesday morning.
Around 2 a.m., an Infiniti G20 turned off of Stoney Trail onto Harvest Hills Blvd. N.W. The driver made two sharp turns, lost control of the vehicle, and ended up in the grass median.
The car then hit a tree, before rolling over onto its roof in the northbound lane of Harvest Hills Blvd.
The driver, a 20-year-old woman, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. She suffered critical head and neck injuries.
An investigation is now underway, and anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact police.
Road conditions were slick in Calgary on Wednesday morning, causing emergency crews to respond to a number of other serious collisions.
