The Saskatoon SPCA has found new homes for the seven Springside dogs who survived by eating the remains of their deceased owners.

According to the SPCA, the dogs were placed in their new homes after a strong behavioral and health assessment.

That included an assessment and endorsement by Brad Pattison, host of At the End of my Leash and Puppy SOS.

The dogs were found to be in good condition and ready to enter the next stage of their life.

“We’re pleased that we can report a positive outcome for these animals,” said Tiffiny Koback, Saskatoon SPCA’s Shelter Director. “We have received many calls of support and interest about these particular dogs.”

The dogs were brought to the SPCA after RCMP discovered them eating the remains of their deceased owners in Springside.
