Calgary man charged in weekend hit and run

CALGARY – Police have laid charges in connection to a hit and run that happened over the weekend.

A car was hit by a pickup truck at John Laurie Boulevard and 14th Street N.W. just after midnight on Saturday.

The two people inside the car were injured.

The driver of the truck took off but was arrested a short time later by an off-duty officer who noticed his vehicle had fresh damage.

33-year-old James Michael Bradwell has been charged with hit and run and refusing to provide a breath sample.
