BOUCHERVILLE – The intersection of Highways 20 and 30 will be completely closed to traffic on the weekend of April 12-13 to allow for the demolition of an old overpass on Highway 30.
Though detours have already been mapped out, Transport Quebec recommends that drivers completely avoid the area.
Closures will start around 8:30pm on Saturday, April 12.

Highway 30 is expected to re-open at 11:30am Sunday morning, while Highway 20 will only re-open at 3:30pm on Sunday.
According to the Ministry of Transport, an estimated 130,000 vehicles drive or under the overpass every day – with 84,000 driving on the 20 and another 46,000 taking the 30.
The closure of the intersection, located in Boucherville on Montreal’s South Shore, is part of an $85 million project to replace two of the aging overpasses on Highway 30.
The Ministry of Transport is expecting to start building the replacement overpasses within the next year.
The entire project is set to be completed in 2016.
