CALGARY – Prince William and his wife Kate are making a trip to the zoo.
The royal couple were taken by Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach and his wife Marie on a tour of the Enmax Conservatory on St. George’s Island near downtown Calgary.
They walked through the conservatory’s Garden of Life, a pathway that winds among a variety of tropical plants.
The couple had been in cowboy garb and jeans earlier in the day at the Calgary Stampede parade, but changed clothes for the zoo trip.
Kate is wearing a scarlet, satin and wool coat-dress while the prince is in a blue suit.
Hours earlier, the couple pushed a big red button to set off fireworks to officially launch the Stampede parade.
