SACKVILLE, N.B. – Students at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick continue to demand a tuition rebate for time lost during a three-week faculty strike earlier this year.
Protests have been held on the campus in Sackville for the last three weeks.
A final demonstration is planned for this afternoon.
The students’ union hopes to convince the school’s board of regents to approve a tuition rebate when it meets next month.
Students say they’ve missed nearly a quarter of their semester and the rebate is only fair.
More than 600 students have also signed an online petition, vowing to withhold future donations to the university unless they’re reimbursed.
